  1. Why closets? Simple, it’s because they are Blind Spots.

The paranormal follows the rules of dream control
    1. Everything requires your attention to exist
    2. The more attention you give something, the more related detail it creates.

The easiest way to banish anything in a dream is to ignore it into oblivion (as per rule 1). You do this by moving into a blind spot where you can properly ignore it.

Same goes for creation in a dream. Best place to create from is a blind spot. For instance, a popular way to find someone in a shared dream is to imagine them being behind a closed door (everything requires your attention to exist), and then opening the door.

Entities know this stuff way better than we do, and take full advantage of it. Why do you think the three knocks are so common in the paranormal? Why do you knock on someone’s door? To get their attention. It’s all about focused attention.
