Expanded Perspectives represents individuals inclined to form one’s own opinions rather than depend upon academics or authorities; especially about ancient cultures, conspiracy theories, science, cryptozoology, social and religious issues. Our open minded views allow us to consider all possibilities regardless of how strange or unusual. Come with us as we explore the many stories, studies and topics through podcasts, interviews, books, blogs and news/magazine articles.

Past guests on the show include Scott Wolter, Nick Redfern, Linda Godfrey, Lyle Blackburn, Antonio Paris, Micah Hanks, Gerrard Williams, Ken Gerhard, Rick Osmon, Frank Joseph, Christopher O’Brien, Jim Harold, John Anthony West, Robert Schoch and many, many others. If you are interested in these subject matters, join Expanded Perspectives.

History

Expanded Perspectives was created in the mind only in October of 2012 after being influenced by a couple of podcasts shows (Mysterious Universe, The Gralien Report and The Joe Rogan Experience), that we listen to religiously. After some brief discussion, it was decided that we would create a website, a blog and a podcast to inform others of the breakthroughs in archeology, ancient cultures, UFOs, Cryptozoology, the Paranormal, Serial Killers and anything else that we desire note worthy.

Your host Kyle Philson and Cam Hale are life long friends and look forward to bringing you the latest in information.

AdobePhotoshopExpress_2016_08_26_17:26:24Kyle Philson was born on August 9th in Fort Worth, Texas. His mother and father were life long residents of New Jersey and moved south only a few years before his birth in order so seek out a better living. Growing up in rural Texas in a small town outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, Kyle spent a lot of time in the woods hunting, fishing and camping. His early interest in the paranormal was first sparked by his father and uncles. Watching shows like Unsolved Mysteries and In Search Of along with reading numerous books by John Keel and Ivan T. Sanderson, Kyle became fascinated by UFOs, Bigfoot, time slips and parallel universes. Keeping an open mind and exploring these topics, he strives to present theses stories and experiences shared by only a few in a fun and light hearted way. Kyle currently lives in Texas with his wife and three sons.

Cam Hale – Host, Social Media Director: Instagram (tradbowhippie)

Growing up in a rural country town he spent the majority of his time outdoors. Receiving his first taste of archery at the age of 5, he started down a path that lead him on solo camping and hunting trips across the state as well as many other states.  Like most his fascination with the strange and unusual started young with shows like In Search Of and Unsolved Mysteries. Diving deeper into these subjects at his the local library, only fueled the flames that have led him to where he is today. With an open mind and adventurers heart, Cam looks to present the stories of the strange in a fun and intriguing manner. Cam still lives in the great state of Texas with his wife and two children.

  11. Hey guys, I am new to your show. I must be honest with you, I am a skeptic. I am not sure what a dogman is, but I do know what My mother and I saw one night. As I told you before it was a large dog walking on two feet. There are a couple of details I did not mention before because it may sound crazy. But here goes. This thing was at least seven feet tall and had a tail. Its legs were very masculine and it held his arms like a dog would if he were on two legs. So what was it? We looked at it for at least an hour with large spotlight. It was not afraid. After a while we turned off the lights and it went back into the wooded creek on two legs. I know it sounds impossible that is why we never told anyone.

Thank You Guys for being Objective.
I grew up with Erich von Daniken’s theories,
but I must admit that I’m Team Graham Hancock now.
J.R.R. Tolkien had it right after all.

I’ve had glimpses of lots of weird stuff
throughout my life (I’m 42 now),
but after listening to your show,
I thought this event might be something more
than just the funny situation I thought it was…

~∞~ Time Fog: South of The Border ~∞~

This is a very short story which may be
either a Time-slip or a Ghost car or Neither, idk.
It is whatever it is, I’m just going to tell you what I saw,
not what I THINK I saw.

This was the mid 1990s, and I was
coming back from a Grateful Dead concert in Greensboro, NC.
(I know this is a bad start, but it’s True)
There were 5 of us crammed into a Buick Lesabre
south bound on I-95 headed for Charleston.
It was about 3 or 4 AM
    when this event happened.

We had run into a fog bank crossing the border
between NC and SC which slowed us down a bit.
Maybe to 30 or 40 miles an hour on the Interstate.
    This was dense fog.

We began to see a colorful cloud of light
    emerge from the nothingness,
and we decided to take the off-ramp towards it.

We soon discovered that this light-cloud was coming
from the multi-colored neon lights of
“SOUTH Of The BORDER” [tm], a tourist trap,
and from a tiny little EXXON station
shining white like a space station
floating purposefully on a little hill
    above this Foggy Neon Abyss.
That whole place was clean and quiet and empty.
Well, except for us running around like crazy kids do
when they find an empty fun park with all the lights turned on
    inside a giant cloud.
    It was otherworldly…..

But This is just where the good stuff begins…

We got back on I-95, still shrouded by dense fog,
and had only travelled about a mile or so into SC
when we saw two headlights coming straight at us.

(I should add here that I don’t recall any other
traffic at all for quite a while. No trucks, No nothing.
This didn’t seem strange at the time,
probably because nobody but us were dumb enough to keep driving
    through these conditions. Anyways…)

There were two headlights coming straight at us…
We slowed down to about 10 mph or less, and so did the other car.
It was coming down our side of a split highway in the left hand lane
and in the fog’s glow from both our sets of headlights,
    I saw everything;

The car they were driving was from the 1940s or 50s,
like a Studebaker, and very clean and shiny.
Then I saw them. A man in a suit and hat was driving, but I made
eye contact with the woman in the passenger seat.
She was wearing stuff I would expect to see
from an old movie, like one of those ‘ol lady Chuch-hats.
But they were not old people, only middle-aged.
Maybe they were simply on their way to church?
    In a dense fog.
In the middle of the night.
    This Was South Carolina…

But there was a look in this woman’s eyes like she had SEEN A GHOST.
Maybe it was just fear of a collision,
but Everyone was quiet and cool as we gently went past.
All of us just staring at each other…
It lasted for 3 or 4 seconds, then they vanished into the fog behind us.

We all thought it was funny at the time,
both Ha-Ha funny and weird funny.
But I wasn’t thinking about Time-slips back then,
I was only wondering if those people ever figured out they were
driving down the wrong side of the highway…
I hope there was no accident.
I felt No Evil presence there.
Just two ships passing in the night.

    ~∞~

After having heard a few of your shows
that deal with Time Portals being assossiated with Fog,
I thought I might share that story with you guys.
Perhaps it was nothing, but please
    add it to your database!
5 people saw this (or should I say; 7).
    It was not an hallucination.
There may be others out there
on I-95 who have seen this car too.

There may well be quite a lot more cases out there where
people do see something truly out of the ordinary
and simply dismiss it as Anachronism or a Hoax.
Or they may block these events out altogether
because they don’t want to lose control of their sense of reality.

That’s why this show is much needed in the world right now.
Thank you Guys again for being so objective and treating these subjects right!
Your database is helping people to know what signs to look for,
both in the future AND in their memories.

I love watching ALL this kind of stuff on YouTube at home,
    especially about Prehistoric Civilizations,
but I find very little that plays so well in the Workplace
compared to what you guys are doing, except maybe Coast to Coast.
I had been playing a lot of Alex Jones earlier this year,
due to the presidential campaign, until I realized
the Negative effect it was having on other people.
When I play your shows, people stop and listen,
and I’ve noticed a very Positive reaction.
Whatever the topic, it’s always a good conversation-starter.

Anyways, keep up the good work, Gentlemen,
and I shall keep playing it for the masses.
I need to hear more stories!
    And where’s ♥ Graham Hancock ♥ already!!!!!

I emailed you a story via the website just a few moments ago and I’ll repeat here what I wrote there, “Why haven’t you guys been offered your own TV show yet?” Your professionalism and presentation quality outshines so many shows, man, you should be able to do this for a living! Some “Animal Planet” executive needs to sit up and take note, “this is what the people want!”

    • Thanks for the kind words Roy! Actually, we’ve been approached more than once by TV producers but it has never met our needs. We don’t wish to pretend to be cryptozoologist or things we are not. Whenever someone wants to produce a show that shows a light on what we are, two guys with a love of the paranormal then maybe we can make something happen. Until that day we will continue to be who we are. Money isn’t everything to us. Thanks for listening and following the show. Take care, be well

  68. wow, have only listened to a few, but thrilled not to hear the norm bs of self titled ufoologists calling themselves “researchers” because they have read 300 comic books written by fools just like themselves…. Just reporting the stories without pretending to be experts argueing about this or that theory is extremely refreshing and makes it easier for people who suffer from “wtf” syndrome and even ptsd who keep quiet as they listen to the idiots fighting between each other and frying to sell books or themselves to prop up their low self esteem as they are failures in the rest of their kives..

keep up the good work…. there are many like me “lifers” whom have experienced so much, we should be nuts…that need to hear podcasts like yours which helps us to know we are not so alone

  69. Wow brothers. You guys look nothing like you sound. You have the best show ever. I’ve got a couple of happenings that I’ve got to convey to you one day. Growing up on a farm in North Dakota you wouldn’t think anything would happen worth telling. If you want to hear them let me know.

  70. Hey guys, me and my best friend have been avid listeners for a long time now. Just wanted to drop by to say how much I love and appreciate the content you guys put out. My best friend and I recently took a 10+ hour trip to Pittsburgh to see some penguins games and we listened to you guys the whole way there and the whole way back. Best car ride ever 🙂

  71. Hey guys (or Big Fizzy and Powerhouse Cam — do you even HAVE a nickname Cam? I just made that up- I think it fits)! Hope you all are doing well down there in Texas during this trying time. Have listened to you ‘on the reg’ every week since 2015, on both the original podcast and on ELITE 😉. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the work you put into your shows and for keeping us all entertained on the subject of our world’s 🌎wonderful and intriguing mysteries. Your podcast has been a highlight of my day! Can’t thank you enough, really. You guys are the bee’s knees! 🐝 Sending you much love from Kansas City.💓

These guys rock. Great sense of humor. Fun topics, even when it’s a heavy it’s still light enough to listen to before bed. You can tell these guys have been friends for ever. The stories can be incredible, but Cam and Big Phizzy keep it real. And the tunes slap. Keep it up boys!

  73. Having trouble tracking down the info on when and where I can listen live. Can anyone point me to aschedule?

BTW — one thing you might mention on your “how to listen” page is that with any Alexa device you can simply say, “Play Expanded Perspectives Podcast.”If it doesn’t find it, say “play Expanded Perspectives from Apple Podcast” the first time or two. After that it will remember where to find it. You can also say, “Ask Stitcher to play…” but Apple Podcast has the advantage of being able to tell it to fast forward or go back a specified amount of time. Like, for example, if you love the way Cam says, “bear” with his Texas accent, and want to hear him say it 3 more times, you can go back 40 seconds. Not that I would of course. Just, you know, someone might.

  74. Hi guys, would like to thank you for a really good podcast! I have been following you for a number of years now, but kind of discovered it relatively late, which means that the archive is basically a pure goldmine when I want to listen to something in the headphones out there. Hope all is well, best regards from Daniel in Sweden
